Dr. Jan has been in practice for 23 years and he sub-specializes in patients recovering from alcoholism/addiction suffering from pain. He is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and has been actively involved in the field of addiction medicine for over 15 years.
He serves on the Leadership Council for the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence and volunteers as Medical Director for the LICADD Opioid Overdose Prevention Program. He also serves on the Nassau County, NY, County Executive’s Task Force on Heroin and Prescription Drug Abuse, is a member of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators and the former Medical Director for the Town of Babylon, NY, Drug and Alcohol Services. Meet one of our physician assistants, Coleen Schneider. Coleen received her bachelor of science in physician assistant studies from Wagner College in 2003. She is considered on of the early pioneers, helping define and grow the current PA profession to where it is today. Coleen’s vast experience in family medicine and orthopedics in leadership roles, brings a unique experience to her diagnostic role in pain management. She prides herself on her ability to “think outside the box”, and see her patients beyond their pain. When Coleen is not at the office you can find her at one of the many baseball fields on Long Island cheering on her boys.
